Why this one? There are tons of no name brand stick cordless vacuums on Amazon for less money. It seems like if you aren't going with a name brand like Dyson or shark, then what's separating these random generic brands. But anyway, or Shark cordless vacuum is finally dying after 10 years it doesn't hold a charge. I probably could replace battery, but is that better than just getting a new vacuum?

Would recommend reading up on Tineco. Definitely not a "random generic brand"

Ok, will do. Never heard of them, but suppose that isn't saying much. But how do you compare them to shark or Dyson? Which I think everyone is aware of.

I can tell you the Dyson I love. I have one v15 and I love it. I have a stick vac on every floor and a robotic one on the main floor. I am also getting a wet / dry mop. overkill ? maybe. I just like a clean house. lol
We've had great luck with our Tineco stick vac. Been using an older model for one to two years. I'm sure a Dyson would prob do better but they used to be 2X+ the price of most others. If you can get a Dyson for 25% more then I would say go for the Dyson. One thing I like about our Tineco is it uses a reusable filter that can be washed (or reverse sucked clean with an adapter) so no need to pay for consumables very often. The filter does need to be cleaned often to get good suction. I'm guessing a Dyson does a better job at extracting the dust into the container so it doesn't block up the filter every few vacuum jobs like my Tineco.
This is closer to our model and does an excellent job for $98.
Wife and I switched to Tineco stick vacs 7 or 8 years ago. W/ all our pets they seem to last about 4 years. Dysons died in under 2.
This style of their stick vacs are easy to clean, filters replaceable.Usually come w/ an extra filter and an attachment to clean it using the stick vac.
The motors are what have died on us over time, wish Miele made stick vacs as good as their canister vacs. Our canister has lasted us 12 years now.
