been thinking about getting this laptop for a while, the keyboards on the TUF 14 inches are much better than the 15 or 16 inch variants

It's LPDDR5X which is soldered only, especially at 7500 speeds. SODIMM's pretty much max out at 6000.

There is a second SSD slot and the WiFi chip is upgradable, which is important to some people since the Mediatek chips that come with AMD laptops give much less performance than Intel chips.

If upgradable RAM is important to you the 2025 version of the Tuf A14 has user upgradable RAM along with a second SSD slot and an RTX 5060 according to ASUS's website. But, the 2025 is $1,700 USD and has a worse processor.
EDIT: Ignore my above comment about the 2025 model. ASUS's website reads: "Full upgradability with Dual 2280 NVMe slots and dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM". But buried further down they clarify it's LPDDR5x RAM.

I ordered it at $999 and just ordered a second one at $899. Walmart explicitly doesn't match prices even if they changed on their own site after purchase. I'll just either refuse shipment or take it back to the store. $952 with tax is a great deal for these specs and a latest-gen CPU. I had bought a MacBook Pro for my mail laptop and some gaming but this one will cover my bases and I can sell my MSI Claw 8 AI+ since the A14 is small enough to replace it.

This is a great deal. I have the 32 GB version that I bought just 6 months ago for $1350. It's been a great laptop and can't find any really apparent faults. The 2nd SSD slot's been great also. I travel a lot so it's nice to have all the data with me without attaching to the server or external SSD enclosures.
