It's one of the best prices for a 9800x3d 5070 TI 2TB 32gb ram pre-built so far (every pre-built makes compromises somewhere). Wonder if we'll see Black Friday for this configuration for $1700 or less.

I think the specs you posted are for a slightly different model, since this one is black, and I don't think this one has the tryx panorama cooler. Here are the specs from the walmart app:SPECIFICATIONSManufacturer Part#: ST-KING95-2324-B-WBProcessor: Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz (5.2 GHz) CPUMemory: 32GB DDR5 RAM RGB Gaming Memory with Heat SpreaderGraphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card (Brand may vary)SSD: 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSDOperating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home 64-bitCase: King 95 Case - BlackWireless Support: 802.11ACFans: ARGB Fans for Maximum Cooling Performance

Thanks, I removed the specs from my post. I went to their website for the specs for this system but there are some component differences (the model isn't exactly the same, some variant). It most likely is using the B650 motherboard. I will likely be building my own PC in the month of November to hopefully get some Black Friday deals (unless there's a pre-built I like). I'm eyeing a newer X870 motherboard with the Microcenter deal (with CL30 RAM+9800x3d) and other more premium components like PSU etc.

do you have a general idea what parts you are building it with? I'm about an hour from a microcenter but thinking the same to build during end of year.

The CPU/Motherboard/RAM prices are current from Microcenter below (on sale it will be $50 less at least, the RAM also had a small discount). The PSU was from the Newegg deal the other day otherwise I would have got the RM850x for the same price. SSD may see ~$120s Prime Day or BF. I'll use the Lancool 217 Infinity case that releases in October. I intend to buy a 5070 TI Super sometime next year (I rarely game but I'll be using the computer before I get the GPU, the 9800x3d has integrated graphics). I could get the 5070 TI regular but I don't see myself gaming until well after the Supers come out. This is a great time to buy the GPUs as they are getting discounts now.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D – $421.10
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO – $46.90
Motherboard: MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI ATX AM5 – $193.81
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2×32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 – $235.08
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD – $159.99
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 217 ATX Mid Tower – $119.92
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x (2024) 1000W – $129.99
Thermal Compound: Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet (33×33×0.2mm) – $24.99
Total: $1331.78

It could be nearly ~$100 less with discounts on the bundle and other components. If paired with a 5070 TI it would end up being under $2000. The biggest difference is the much more premium/high quality components (also faster RAM due to CL30 / 64GB, much better and newer motherboard).

Idk. The cheapest I'm seeing bottom level 5070ti's is $750, plus another ~$120 for Windows 11 brings that to almost 2200 dollars, which is $400 more than this build.

Current price $1331.78+$729.99 (5070 TI on sale rn) total is $2061.77. But if you consider the $50 MC bundle discount, SSD/case discount etc it would likely be closer to $1960-70 range (based on the recent prices on sale for the SSD, case and the MC bundle). Not including Windows because most people can get a key for really cheap online like $10-15 or even free if they use a keygen. So it's a very premium build with much better quality components across the board for just under $200 more (ofc it requires getting the parts on sale).

Edit: The Kryosheet isn't necessary as the Phantom Spirit air cooler comes with thermal paste. I don't want to ever bother having to paste my CPU which is why I use the Kryosheet. You can save even a lot more money using the $629 Microcenter bundle which knocks $70+ off the total price I listed, on sale the bundle is $599 which drops build price by $100+. I'm not trying to build with the cheapest MC bundle but the highest quality one at the lowest price point which is the MSI X870E-P (also wanted to have everything come just under 2K). You can probably beat the price of the Walmart build on your own, you just have to use lesser parts like they do (pre-builts always make compromises and aren't bad and are fine for the majority of people).

Is this thing $600 better than the 5070 deal for $1200 with the 7800x3d?

The 7800x3d deal is really nice, I only play one older game and I know a more expensive build would be a waste given I can max the game out on the 7800x3d+5070 (I'm still building my own anyhow).I imagine we might see 9800×3d+5070 TI builds for $1600-1700 by Black Friday.
