Thanks for the comment- I checked Pop-Mechanics and other reviews that also said these were more leak prone. For my use, I think it's probably worth spending the extra on an HDPE solution.

7 gallons of water alone could be 58.4 lb. add 1.1 lb of container weight = 59.5 lb. I decided not to buy it because I love my back.

Also says its not UV resistant. So light will damage it and even if you do not see any damage could release micro-plastic into the water as it degrades.

Better to wait for something better.

I have one of these and usually only fill it 1/2 to 2/3 full when camping because of the weight. It's nice to have the extra capacity if you need it, but it takes up more space in my camping gear than I need.

i have 4 of them that we fill at a neighbor's house and then literally toss into our atv trailer and/or back of the UTVs and then proceed to ride on a pretty bouncy rocky trail 2 miles to our off grid cabin. idk what the heck you are doing to your containers, but it must be pretty ridiculous, as we treat these things like crap and they have been going strong for over 5 years.

even had one fall out of the back of the utv and survive a 3' drop.
