If buying as a Christmas present, then you might want to wait until early December so you can test it before return window expires. Also, there will be many high-end used systems coming on to the market as Black Friday buyers step in.

You think the deal is goin to be available the next few months? I don't feel this is how slickdeals works.
Doesn't get much better than this if you're going prebuilt. The CPU is a slight compromise but not bad in the least. The MOBO is likely garbage, but that's true of every prebuilt. Only real downside is that the PSU is only 650 so you'll likely have to replace it if you're ever gonna upgrade down the line.Jump on this, or wait till black friday IMO.Or better yet, build your own with a 9600+9070 and better everything else for $100 more.
"the cpu is a slight compromise", what?!?! for the vast majority of people the 7700 will *smoke* anything they put up against it, let alone for an 1100 dollar build.
show me where this magical place is that you can source a 9600x+9070 build for 1200 bucks that covers a complete tower like this with other comparable specs, I've yet to see that exist parting it out recently, as those two parts alone would be 900 dollars on the low end.
This is definitely a good deal for these specs. The downsides are that it most likely has a low end power supply, the cables are ugly, and that it is only a single stick of RAM.
If I were to put together a system with these same specs I would spend a bit more than this but use a reputable power supply with black cables and 2 sticks of RAM for dual channel.
Overall I think this is a good deal if you don't want to build yourself and/or don't value having a customized aesthetic.
Great Deal! so much better specs than PCs 4 years ago, but that's what we all expect after so much time passed by. Back then following the good ole first days of post-covid lockdown you could only find similar systems for around $1100 with Ryzen 5600x or 5700g and RTX 2060 super to RTX 3060/3060ti at best and 16gb ram, + only 1tb ssd.
so this deal is twice the specs for similar amount.

I pulled the trigger. This will be my first PC in almost 20 years (3 of them since March 2009) that I have not built myself. This seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. My current one is 6 years old and I was just about to start planning a new build. Good timing!
Anyone has any experience with these prebuilt regarding fan noise? My HP omen 3080ti sounds like a jet engine underload from new and I swapped all the fans to noctua yet fan noise is coming from the GPU. Never again HP

Yeah, I call BS on his #s too. Even shopping at microcenter, you wouldn't be able to throw together something like this, this cheap. I know because I was thinking about building my son a PC for his 11th birthday. GPUs and PSUs are expensive right now.
If you are planning to upgrade in the future, the 7700 is a great cpu (ive built 3 rigs and used one in my recent personal rig), but the x3d is a better future proof cpu for higher (over 120fps) frame rates.
The ibuypower is a better investment, coming with 2 sticks of ram, a nicer case, and more space for GPU upgrade in the future. The rest of the system could stay as is in 4 years, and you would be fine.

Both are good deals. I initially advised my friend to buy that deal, but then when I saw this, I told him to cancel and buy this one for $100 less. Re CPU, 7700 is a 0-10% slower in games, but I suspect for most games, the difference won't be appreciable as the 5070 is the limiting factor. I would also take Acer brand/warranty/CS over iBuypower. The Acer also looks smaller/more discreet, which is a plus assuming the cooling/temps are still good. Plus I don't think my friend will feel like upgrading SSD and reinstalling Windows, so the extra TB of space is nice.
