I got the black one sitting on my desk for storing pencils, pens, & staples. I also got a red one to store my k-cup coffee & land o lakes half half creamer. Then I got a blue one to sit on top my tool cart for drill bits & screwdriver bits. These new versions are better than last year model, because they open 1/2" wider & they have push bumpers that press fit into holes. Last years model they just had sticky peel bumpers that fall off too easy.

Other usage ideas: Watch collection, jewelry storage, knife collection, fly fishing supplies (if your a master baiter), make up, art supplies, etc.,

My husband loves HF and my MIL wants to get him a GC this year for Xmas. All his tool cases are like the blue one, so I'm going to buy a little blue one and put the GC in it FOR HIS PRESENT. As usual, SD gives me something to buy I never thought I needed. And I will buy 2.

It might seem small but is actually pretty useful, I have a Kobolt branded one (from Lowes) and is great for precision screwdrivers, small pliers, etc.

Keyword being slight. I have the original model and put thicker silicone feet on them instead of the factory ones. The drawers opening wider would be nice, but not life altering.

Seems like this would be a perfect size to store pliers, sanding/shaping files, and scrapers for 3D printing instead of hanging them in a mess all over your machine.

Would also be good for paint brushes that don't have a dedicated case, adhesives, hobby knives, small flashlight, solder supplies, electronic components, single purpose cables that you need exactly once a year, precision tools, or maybe even storing/cataloging SD cards for a pro photographer. Tons of uses in a small footprint for $14.
