Looks like a good buy! Does anyone own one of these? I can really use this combo! Reviews look good and much of the bad reviews are for stuff like a buyer couldn't change his laptop off the 4A USB charge ports - of course they aren't designed for that.

I need a 2 prong one. Is it better to get a 2 prong surge protector. Or one of those 2 prong to 3 prong adapter plugs then plug surge protector into that?

My understanding is that both will be similar -- a 2 prong wire (or 3-2 adapter) will provide 'some' surge protection, but not as much as a grounded/3-prong adapter.. it will probably do SOME benefit over plugging it in directly, but won't take the full advantage of the safety of the surge protectors

this is good for small electronics. Do not plug your computer or anything expensive into it thinking it will protect you from dirty power or surge. It only has 900 Joules protection. At a minimum you should look for 2000 joules. Some say this doesn't matter that a lightening strike will fry electronics no matter what. I'm still going with higher protection.
