https://static.slickdealscdn.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif and if you use lower lumen projector your image will wash out with even the most dim of ambient lighting. Ideally you want lens shift but to get that you are leaving the budget category and the price will go way up for that option but you can get away with horizontal and vertical keystone correction and vertical is a absolute must have but the good news is most projectors that aren't $30 Amazon specials have that feature. Here is bout the cheapest one I would recommend ViewSonic PA503S 4000 Lumens SVGA High Brightness Projector for Home and Office with HDMI Vertical Keystone the link isn't working just search that on Amazon Get the SVGA if you buy a 4:3 golf simulator and get the 1080P if you buy a widscreen golf simulator. If you want a cheap net and screen this is about the cheapest https://cimarronsports.

It's there a high value, lower cost projector to pair with this great deal? I know that's kind of a subjective question, but I don't know anything about projectors.
this isn't a projection type launch monitor. it's for outdoors. pair a square monitor with a projector of you are looking for an indoor set-up
doesnt detect spin though
given this, not much better than the old rapsodo or golfboy app?
I have this. It does detect spin.

No, this isn't an ultra detailed indoor golf simulator, but it works really well outdoors and well enough indoors, especially for the money.

I have been down the entry level simulator rabbit hole for a while and have not pulled the trigger. My son is LH and I am RH which limits our options to behind the golfer or above the golfer as I want to avoid resetting the unit each time; also want something somewhat portable to take to the range or out into the yard - that doesnt help the Bushnell launch pro. Rapsodo MLM2PRO seems best for us at this point in time for our needs but this is very enticing.
My main focuses have been this Garmin (now $379), the Rapsodo MLM2PRO ($599 + $199/yr subscription dont love that), and the new Mevo 2 ($1199 currently; the interwebs seem to expect the ability to upgrade software to expand capabilities for a software upgrade cost in future).
Not to threadjack, but asking anyway - interested in hearing anyones thoughts on the above - particularly if they share common objectives - LH/RH interoperability, portability, entry-ish level cost.

Although I have upgrade my launch monitor for my Sim. I kept R10 for range days due to its portable form factor, and ease of use and setup. I always have it I my golf bag and a short legged tripod for my phone. You can't beat this accuracy and ability to record, save, and view live data without lugging a seperate large launch minor imo. Although, there is that new Mevo 2 that cost much more I believe
