The screens on these break without fail. I would probably pass even at the price.

These are under $50, any suggestion for sometthing else if these keyboards aren't worth it.

If you don't need a number pad, the Aula f75 is a really solid, plastic budget board for maybe $10 more (typically)

way too many keyboards.. nobody can answer this. Even if you say you want mechanical full size, still too many variables...it's worse than recommending a "comfortable ' sneaker. The most annoying part of selecting a keyboard, is lack of clear info and feel of the specs...there are plastic keyboards which are phenomenal, then there plastic kb which aren't worth even 10 bucks. start testing a few and you'll figure it out. 8bitdo can be found for $70 sometimes and is a good safe bet, as long as you like clicky (albeit not obnoxious). another example is the steelseries apex pro tkl 2023... it's hall effect , pure plastic , light but it's one loud clonky sucker- but surprisingly one of my favorite which I would never have guessed merely trying it out for a few minutes in store...

Does anyone else feel the key caps text look big and ugly? I don't buy that it's part of the 'retro' theme they're going for. I understand that you can customize the key caps, but still, I'd like to start with a decent set.

Second the recommendation on Aula F75, or if you could find Epomaker P75 which I hear was discontinued.

I paid a little bit more on the last deal for this. Got the flamingo switches which are really quite. This keyboard is very heavy and tall. Would recommend a good wrist stand.
The only issue I have is it disconnecting randomly with plugged in with usb-c, I can't download their software on my work computer. So maybe it stabilizes? The USB cord is very thick and would be nice if it clicked into place.

If you haven't known already this is the regular price for this keyboard (been always at 50% off for several months). However, at this price it is a steal to honest, not a keyboard expert but this is not a cheap keyboard and well built. Good to pair with a wooden wrist rest! Will Recommend.

it is retro model. Those with poor vision will appreciate the large labels. At this price, certainly not bad, so stop complaining.

I was looking at getting a mechanical keyboard with numpad earlier this year, and the RT100 was one I was considering. However, most of the reviews I found (like on Reddit, not just Amazon) were pretty bad. The little screen in particular seemed rather fragile and prone to fail. Decided to get the Galaxy100 instead and it's been holding up ok. The Galaxy100 also supports VIA/QMK, whereas the RT100 seems to require a driver/software for the knob and screen.

Had to return mine twice, one screen was broke, one had non-responsive keys on lower left. Remember to post here if you have to return yours. I got my money back after the 2nd time of returning.

Can someone break down the Switches for me? Heard of the color specific switches but what are flamingo and wisteria switches all about?
