Biggest difference is that 2024 is the latest LTSC release — longer support (Office 2021 ends in fall 2026, while 2024 goes until fall 2029), runs smoother on Win11, plus some nice little upgrades like new Excel functions and a faster Outlook. Not a game changer, but nice if you plan to stick with Office for years. I think so.

Short version: They send you a link to what appears to be an official installer.

Long Version: If you are willing to take a few extra steps you can follow the steps on the following page below and then activate in program after install. You can use the Windows Sandbox to get their config file.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us...024/deploy

Also this is the LTSC Version which will not show up in your subscriptions under account.microsoft.com

Just to add a caveat: This is likely a license meant for bulk hardware manufacturers or enterprise systems. In my case, I had an earlier version of Office running just fine, from a similar site. But once I upgraded my graphics card, the license no longer worked. It was looking at the hardware of my setup, and the change caused the license to not activate. I tried for awhile to re-activate it, but eventually gave up. I'm trying out LibreOffice, and so far it's been working well.
I have used a similar site. The license was apparently for some school. Worked fine until school ended in the spring, and then stopped working. Is it a coincidence that all there offers pop up when school starts? I think not!
Unless you are an Office real power user, LibreOffice is the way to go. It has nearly all functionality of Office. I switched after the above incident and have never looked back. If you know Office apps, you will pick up LibreOffice apps pretty quickly.

For 15... I give it a go. That's two coffee if you're bougie / boujee or 2lbs of whole bean Timmahs!

No kidding. I bought "lifetime" previous versions and they were cancelled last year. I feel like this will work for a few months and then Microsoft will ask you to log in with an email that's licensed.

Can't speak directly to this deal but..
If you don't like subscriptions or cloud based applications, get this deal. For those of you that remember the old days of self contained PST's, this supports them again. The only risk/suggestion is you keep your PST backed up and in a safe or offsite. Keep a copy of the installable software on that backup as well..

I cloned a very slow mechanical drive to an SSD in a really old Dell computer used in an office for my friends business, the cloned drive worked so much faster, but the install contained a very old Office 2010 Starter edition, just the change of the hard drive deactivated the Office install. It was late on a Sunday evening, PC had to be working for employee on Monday, so after some quick failed attempts to activate the old Office install, I opted to install LibreOffice, it is working perfectly for them, it has been 3 weeks now and no complaints.

Hard pass. I've "bought" MS Office keys like this in the past only to have them later decide they were no longer activated, and the key no longer work.

It's simple enough that a tutorial probably isn't necessary. Download and run the office 365 installer from MS itself. Google massgravel, follow the link to the github page. Run the powershell script, Follow the menu options for TSForge activation.
