I personally have the smaller Stanley version of this coffee mug as well as the Yeti and much prefer the Yeti. The Yeti seems to hold the temp better than the Stanley (though it never takes me over 45 mins to finish a full cup anyway) and I really like the slider lid on the Yeti compared to the Stanley which you can't fully close. Just my .02

I just use a 20oz Ozark Trail tumbler for a morning tea and it hold it hot for a couple of hours.

I'm missing a handle but also gaining about $10 in savings.

And protip, the easiest way to clean coffee and tea stains from a stainless steel mug/tumbler/cup is to drop a dishwasher pod in it, fill it with boiling water and let it sit for a while (ideally overnight in the sink). You then just rinse it out and it will look like new.

I use the ozark trail 16oz that has the handle - looks just like this Stanley except it has cork bottom. It's great and only 12.50. Good tip on cleaning - will have to try.

1.5 hours is not that long... My Zojirushi will still be hot by the end of the work day. So much so that I have to leave it open for it to be at a drinkable temperature at the beginning. But I guess that's the downside of this being a mug instead of a thermos.

A drop of bleach gets it out quick. You don't even have to scrub.
