The MSRP is $2,600 for an i3 ?!? $770 seems pretty high for an i3. Reviews go back to 2019. They're clearly not for this laptop so I have no idea if this one is any good. I just can't trust an HP laptop with these shady marketing practices.

It's a 3rd party seller with the "typical" price - not HP. The model under item details on Amazon matches this one from Best Buy that retails for $529.99 and is on sale for $379.99 (less than half the price of this deal).

Hi - that part where it says "Visit the HP Store" doesn't really matter I believe. On the right side it says that it's both shipped and sold by a 3rd party merchant called "82 days" that has a 4.2/5 rating (linked below). I'll note though that the configuration on Best Buy is much lower - that said the pairing of 64GB of Ram with an i3 CPU from 2023 kind of confuses me.
