Or would no low-profile GPU really be worth it, and instead it would be better to get one of the many Thunderbolt 5 eGPU enclosures available now / coming soon to use with one of this system's USB4v2 ports?
To clarify, my thinking is that this system's APU will be great for a lot of gaming needs out of 1080p gaming out of the box, especially low-latency gaming like shooters, fighting games, and emulation, but that a beefier GPU down the line could help with more resource-intensive 1440p + 4K AAA titles (e.g. GTA VI eventually, VR games, etc.).
I have the 129i7 with a 5060 that I underclocked and undervolted to keep the temps down and I can hit well over 60 in Cyberpunk in 1080p ultra with dlss quality. If I enable RT then it dips to 58 occasionally. This is connected to a Samsung 1080p TV so I don't care about fps above 60 anyway.
Performs like GTX 5060/RX 9060... 128GB of shared memory.... Cool, but not $2000 cool.
Might be worth it for somebody?
This is primarily for professionals and hobbyists running large language models. It's definitely $2000 cool. It allows you to run models (albeit at less tokens/sec) that would require a $10000 GPU to run.

No, it won't m the same models as a 10k gpu can. At least nowhere near that speed. Let's not mislead people.
In Linux, the situation is even better. This chip is the 1st x86 chip which uses Unified Memory Access like Apple M series Chip where CPU, GPU and NPU can access the whole system memory directly without any separate allocation and in Linux that feature can be used (Windows does not support it yet and needs a fixed amount allocated to the iGPU).

Also dual 10Gbe NIC is a huge plus as well specially for those using it for nondesktop purposes. Also this form factor makes it easier to rack mount
