These are so much better and more usable to the average user than a Chromebook. They do run a full desktop OS, you know

I have the Best.Buy version of this in black. The screen is beautiful, keyboard is nice and it's light to carry. I mostly use office and web, so it's perfect for me. Don't try to game on it, unless it's cloud gaming. Great deal.

They're gonna have to drop these to Chromebook prices if they want people to even think about switching to ARM

I would not risk switching to ARM, but specs are great, especially the screen quality. Very tempting but not sure

sorry for the ask. I am pretty naive when it comes to computers.
If you only use a web browser, then the Vivobook will work great. It's lighter and has better battery life. If you need to run programs, games, design software, then the Vivobook will be limited because it has a lightweight ARM processor, with some compatibility issues.

Does the ARM chipset resolve the issue of Windows laptops sometimes not sleeping properly? I hate opening my laptop bag to find it's an oven and my laptop is almost dead. Seems it's been a problem since beginning of time that's never been fixed.
