If you sign up and use the first time buyer 10% off code at outboundpower.com, it brings the price down to $809.10. Also, military and first responders can use GovX to get a 10% off code. They have free shipping, 30 day free returns, and are an authorized dealer for all brands they sell. They do charge tax based on your state.

I think one scenario that would work (provided you indeed leave the portable unit behind) is to install a transfer switch (permiited/to code) and have this wired in to the input to a 'critical loads' panel. This would represent an upgrade (home improvement) to make the home more energy resilient to outages, while retaining the occasional portable use for camping, etc.

If you plug it into the wall outlet and leave it for the next guy it's installed. 😂

Mine came a couple days ago. Extra battery is still on the way. Seems to run great.

However, I won't be keeping it long unless something can be worked out with customer service. I'm calling Monday. I'm not settling for a two year warranty.

I personally don't think these batteries are easily returnable. Curious too see how this works out!

Hmmm. If planning on using for camping, keep in mind that the DC charge input is 24V so you cannot charge via car 12V output. Hard pass.

Might this charge at 12v, slowly? But up to 24v? If not, what a miss.

Edit. No.

This is a much much better deal than the Jackery 3000 that's posted.
I'm trying to decide between the 2. How is this better than the Jackery 3000? Thanks for your thoughts.

Back in stock,
Don't buy it from them! Pecron is saying they are not an authorized vendor, and they are refusing to warranty the item. I put in for a return today. We'll see how it goes. What a waste of time, and possibly money.

Also Pecron did not include the correct cable to connect this unit with the extra battery. Apparently you have to buy your own. Or beg Customer Service for one, and they might send it. They take 24 hours to review your complaint.

In fact I would just learn from my mistake and not deal with this company at all. Go with someone reputable. Ecoflow has been good to me. Maybe Bluetti and possibly Jackery, but I would avoid Pecron...

Disregard what I just said. Pecron needs to get there c*** together. Lol. Someone from outbound power just reached out to me. And told me pecron was incorrect. They are in fact an authorized dealer. They walked me through the warranty registration themselves. The product registered fine.

With stories like these, I really hope this company is still alive when it's time to warranty it

Pecron is better is most specs. Not mentioned in this video but covered in their reviews of the individual units is the Jackery has much better idle consumption with the inverter on.

How do you register? Pick distributor for where you bought it?
Did that give you the additional years of warranty?

Thanks. The idle consumption w inverter on won't be an issue for my very limited use case, so the Pecron should be fine for me.

With an update the iOS app and fix the MPPT issues (for other use cases than mine) and thier reputation and reviews should improve, even more.
