I did try to get the Vatic Flash long handle and its OOS.
Once you start getting better at pickleball, you do want a better paddle.
Those cheaper $30 paddle that you thought was a decent deal, you'll never touch again so might as well get a decent one from the start.
Can't go wrong with the Quanta or Vatic V-sol. Both are Gen 4 paddles meaning they are all foam.

For me, its a pretty big improvement especially the grip on the face. I've shopped around a lot of box stores and this paddle at this price beats the pants off those $30 paddles.
I have no idea how this compares to other paddles (I'm just starting) but unless someone else can point me to an actual paddle at $30 I'd say this a pretty good deal.
