I am far out east but it was the only one at the store. I would try using Brick Seek and see if there's any other inventory on the island possibly!

Just picked up this in Houston, TX. Seems like a few stores on the West side have this for $490.

Been eyeing the Forge batteries for a while, can probably sell the backpack blower for $250-300, and basically pay $250-300 for 2 Forge HD12 and charger which is pretty good

Milwaukee compares it with the lowest gas blower they could find putting out just "17N"?? ..are they seriously comparing it to a handheld gas blower in order to make such a ridiculous claim that their backback unit is somehow more powerful? That's borderline false advertising. Even a half price gas backpack blower is typically over 20N, and a similar priced $500 gas blower [amazon.com] can easily blow out over 37N+ blowing away this unit, literally. Spending around $650 [lowes.com] and you're blowing 47N, anyway, you get the idea. Shame on Milwaukee for tricking customers that they're somehow getting equivalent power to a commercial gas-powered backpack blower when they should focus on ease of use and no maintenance convenience for homeowners. EGO commercial battery blower is decent power for homeowners however should a slickdeal come one day but note, battery powered handhelds are equal in power to their battery powered backpacks. Backpack simply offer ease of carry on your back to avoid holding for too long with longer run time (though carrying a full set of batteries are heavy, and heavier than gas-powered).

Pro-Tip, the "N value" is newton force which combines speed and air volume (cfm) into a single metric to help compare. Another way to think about it is that Newtons tell us overall blowing force to look for. Speed is important if say the leaves are wet, but N value is the key one to compare.
