Yes, Dreame is very well regarded in robot vacuum land. This particular model is very good for the price. I have had it for about 2 years now and it's been working as good as new. I'd suggest getting a tricut brush roller for it, which is much superior, specially if you have pets. Maintenance is generally cleaning up dirty water tank once every few days, fill up clean water, throw mop pads in washer once a week, and clean wash board once a month or so.

I have this because you can root it easily. Performance for carpet is less than the Roomba 960 (9 years old), it picks up significantly less (Great Pyrenees household). The camera in the front is in full color (which disagrees with their marketing). They also ignore your network DNS and hardcode their IP addresses in the firmware. Is it fine, I guess? (I wouldn't recommend it unless you are planning on hacking it)

Is their DNS based in China?

What kind of cool things does rooting allow you to do?

No, they just ignore the query response and use their own ips, is my understanding.

Mostly just running it without connecting to the internet.
