The body configuration looks just like my Ibanez RG540SLT, and the color looks like my Ibanez RG140. And it would seem to be a pretty sweet deal.......must not click on link......

I've got an SLA3Q that's incredible. But this is so cheap, I'm buying. Got a Black Winter I can toss in. Likely won't change the FR Special. Not a heavy trem user. Was hoping this would go on sale again!

Poplar body. That's a soft & cheap wood used for low-budget stuff. $350 is about what this guitar should cost anyway, $850 for a poplar body would be a joke. For about the same price you could get a Yamaha or something with similar features and better build quality.

Edit: Here's a Kramer with a similar color and configuration but a mahogany body for about the same price:

Or a flame maple version for $50 more:

How are these Indonesian Jacksons? 20 years ago I was all about the SL3s made in Japan, I think I paid $1,200 for one back then, I still have it. I'm kinda guessing it matters less these days as manufacturing has gotten more advanced all around.

Both of your examples have a bolt on neck where the Jackson in this post, is a neck through guitar. This is a huge difference in cost between a neck through verses a bolt on neck guitar.

From what I've been reading lately, Jackson is taking a lot of liberties with the term "neck through".

Lipstick on a pig. If it's a cheap-ass body, I don't care if it's neck-through.
