Note: There's some confusion and discrepancy surrounding this model number. The model number here, A2XWHG-061US, comes with the 1600p 240Hz IPS Display despite multiple listings stating it to be 1200p 144Hz. Numerous reviews on the MC listing [microcenter.com]have confirmed this, and also on Reddit.

This model is different from the one available at BB [bestbuy.com], that is the A2XWHG-275US, which indeed only comes with the 1200p 144Hz 45% NTSC Display.

If I were to go with this, personally, I would buy straight from MSI vs Newegg or Walmart.

While this was true for the original model, I have a contact at MSI who said that it was only the 'first batch' of this model that was QHD, and they said future models would be FHD. I'd lean on the side of caution and assume this is FHD.

I would buy from Walmart. You get until 01/2026 to return and you can return it to a Walmart store.

You need to pay for return shipping to MSI and Newegg returns can be headache.

this seems like a decent price but part of me is wondering if there will be much better Prime deals on some of these laptops? I'm sort of on the fence to save $ and go with the 12GB 5070 ti vs. wait for a deal for a higher 16GB 5080 which would have a longer gaming shelflife
