Don't listen to negative reviews on slickdeals. It's a really good game. I paid full price and paid extra for DLC. Worth every penny.

This is Final Fantasy in name only. It had the most boring, generic characters and the story wasn't particularly interesting. Nothing about this game felt like Final Fantasy. If you have to ask what a Final Fantasy feels like, since they're all different stories, then you're not a real fan.

Nah this is the one. All the hype. The perfect scores from reviewers. Everybody saying pretty much it's a classic. I was such a fan that I bought this at launch. My excitement dwindled down minutes into playing it. It was a chore to turn on that when I got to O.G. Cid dying, I gave up and sold it. This game is pure trash

+1, all those weirdos on the other thread liking this game either never played any of the FF games or are just rage baiting

That being said, I do just want to beat the game and just see how it ends. I rented it in gamefly and was only halfway there. Also, it's not that bad of a game... Just not a mainline FF game. This game should have been a side FF game or something like strangers in paradise

It's not a good game. As Final Fantasy moves further away from its turn based roots, it is obvious that Square-Enix is out of touch. Want a great turn-based rpg? Get Expedition 33.

Think people are being a bit dramatic. It's a good game. The highs are super high, the rest is kind of average. If you end up playing, I think you should skip all side quests.
