I bought one in a manager discount for $5 in store about 4 months ago. The lettering on the inside of the hat fell off leaving a sticky residue. But it not bad and still wear it all the time.

"Tech" hat means it uses synthetic material (polyester) created in a lab. Not cotton or other natural material. Provides moisture wicking, breathability and other benefits.

Costco lets anyone buy from their website, you just pay a 5% non-member surcharge (but normally free shipping) for items that can be shipped to your house. I order from them all the time but haven't have a membership in 10 years.

For example, this is a breakdown of my (mock) order:
Subtotal $7.97
Shipping & Handling $0.00
Estimated Tax $0.57
Non-Member 5% Surcharge $0.40
Total $8.94

Edit: I'm a little mad at you....since it was in my cart I went ahead and ordered it. But I just went on a cruise and couldn't take my normal (highly fashionable) camo boonie hat on several islands because of local laws against camouflage so it may come in handy in a future

I got the grey version for $4 on clearance in stores. nice hat. great if you need one. has a stealth pocket on the top for stuff
