I didn't see the HDMI standard listed but 4k 30hz is HDMI 1.4 which was established in 2009. this is a low end HDMI adapter. most 4k displays can run at 60hz minimum so I wouldn't buy this to use with a 4k monitor or TV personally. but if you will just use it for watching video, that is probably fine because most video is 24hz
