thanks for posting this OP Smilie .. here's a review if anyone's interested

https://www.cnet.com/tech/home-en...ble-price/

I got curious and checked to see if there was a 55 inch version of this same model at costco and didn't find one at Costco (or maybe I'm just stupid Smilie ) though there seemed to be a 55 inch version of it at Best Buy.. I did see this model in the 55 inch area (if anyone's like us and there's just no way you can cram a TV bigger than 55 inches into one of your roooms Stick Out Tongue )

https://www.costco.com/tcl-55-cla...62984.html

three years of allstate protection apparently .. had a hard time finding reviews of it but here's what one person on reddit had to say

https://www.reddit.com/r/tcltvs/c..._thoughts/

and there's a bunch of reply comments from other people on reddit who were happy with it given the $300 (roughly) price tag.

Bought this TV about 2 weeks ago. It's legit. Not quite OLED blacks, but for the price it's darn good. Has a very good contrast ratio nonetheless and brightness is phenomenal. Speakers are the real downside of this model, but it's cheap enough to pair with a decent $200-$300 sound bar for excellent results (I picked up the Klpisch Flexus Core 200 a couple weeks back on SD and it's perfect for this tv) TV is a great value. I would recommend and would likely buy again. Side note, this TV has great picture options for blue light filter which I love for night time viewing. Google TV is fine, but I'd pair with an Apple TV 4K or Firestick 4k max for best results and ease of navigation because the Native Google TV is not as snappy. Helps a ton. Enjoy! Backlit remote is nice, but not necessary if you use Apple TV or firestick. Viewing angles are awesome too. Haven't had many glare issues either.

Google tv is great. Just runs a bit slower on the TV compared to ATV or FS IMO.

Oh I thought you meant Google TV in general. Yeah, how fast it runs depends on the TV's processor at the end of the day. I use an age old Nvidia shield and that thing still runs great. Got Apple TV and Firestick max too and I feel like Firestick is the worse of them all both in terms of UI but especially the ads. They should pay us for using it.

Damn, this TV would be a dream if only I had the wall space at my house.

But it does have Kodi. Which is nice.

strange link works fine for me - I believe you of course Smilie I just wonder why it's doing that.. will try reposting it again

https://www.costco.com/tcl-55-cla...62984.html

but otherwise it's apparently "Item 9555677" .. if you search by that number on costco's website hopefully it will pop up?

Check out Stremio, Kodi's hot new cousin.

Interesting comment on the Costco site about the Costco version not having the matte screen.
