So this is like a BOGO, right? You spend $1 and get $1 back as points towards future purchases. It's not like you're getting 100% off. Am I thinking about this correctly?

No it's not. It's basically the equivalent of a BOGO. Is a BOGO burger the same as a FREE burger? Of course not. And this is even worse, considering you don't even get both items right away. You need to shop with them again in the future to take advantage of buying something at full price. In the end, it's the equivalent of 50% off, NOT free.

Staples had a MUCH better deal before where it was their subscribe and save equivalent where you could have gotten 96 K-cups for about $17, period. plus you could use a cash back site for more savings, unlike here. No need to use gas and drive to the store, No need to deal with people and lines, No need to purchase anything at full price, No waiting for rewards, No need to go shopping again, probably buying something you dont even want or need, just to use your "rewards. " That deal shits all over this one.

go to your staples store, choose your Kcups, check out at register giving them your rewards info, usually your phone #. pay, you'll have rewards points deposited in your account rounded by dollars to your purchase amount. if you spend 39.99 you'll get $39 in rewards. they don't pay out change amounts.
