I have read 4 books on my Scribe over the past 8 weeks, more than I usually read in 5 or 6 months. Really a lovely device if you need the note writing capability and the large screen for aging eyes.

So much wasted potential. The notebook doesn't even support shapes or lines
i got the 64gb for $309.99 on july 4th 2025 sale.
Why didn't I see this on camelcamelcamel. It shows that this current price is the lowest
if the discount updates in the cart, then camelcamelcamel does not record it.
like, "check the box for 20% off in cart" or "enter coupon code for 30% off".

Don't forget the reminder that many of the features Amazon said were coming when they originally released the Scribe still haven't been delivered on. I've owned one for 2+ years and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

- Writing: It fails as a central writing device not because the physical experience is bad but it's just so limited on software. It's not like a note/organization-first product, it lets you make notes in books, primarily. There's no such thing as global note search or OCR recognition in it unlike basically every other platform (Supernote is the best at that, Remarkable, etc)
- Reading: It's just too damn big unless you have some need for that large of a screen. There's a reason the normal kindle market exists in the first place: holding a damn iPad is not comfortable or enjoyable for reading like this. The Oasis is not far off from that same iPad experience, it's large and heavy.
