I bought this in a prior deal. The keyboard broke within about five months of occasional and delicate use. Both Asus and Best Buy refused to cover it under warranty service, and a replacement keyboard is somehow $300 for the part only. Based on this experience I would not buy from either company again. But it is otherwise a nice product.

Bought and returned - otherwise great machine (look & feel, sturdy, light weight for 16", performance great).... however main issue with this laptop is heating issue... using the laptop while plugged in for charge it heats up like a hell - many reviews have complained about it. Asus really needs to fix this issue... unless anyone know how to solve this by firmware upgrade.

I love this laptop except for the keys on the keyboard are small for my big hands. Other than that it would be perfect for me.

I purchased one in excellent condition for $60 more. The heat issue is definitely solvable by upgrading the the latest firmware and making a couple of tweeks. Google it.

What reason did Asus and BB use to deny you coverage? Sounds crazy. I would be doing an Atty General complaint first, and if that failed, a chargeback.

So... any thoughts on this deal vs the recent Zenbook 14 Intel 9 285H 32GB deal? I bought both for a similar price and trying to decide which to keep. Main differences to my eyes:
- 16" 3K vs 14" FHD+
- 24GB vs 32GB
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 vs Intel 9 285H

Intended user is a non-gaming student. They don't have much of an opinion, but might slightly prioritize screen and battery life. I know little about the AMD processors, but have been satisfied with the Zenbook line and the newer intel processors. I personally like extra RAM, but not sure if it will matter enough.

16 any day... The screen is Fantastic.. KB is nice.. 24GB for a student usage is more than enough. I had both and returned 14 for 16

Their reason is that it's broken 😳. The warranty doesn't cover when the product breaks. You can't make this ish up.
I'd had it for more than a month or I would have charged it back. The principle of it is not worth the time required to fight with them. I will just vote with my wallet and encourage others to do the same.

I have this laptop and gotta say the screen is beautiful, great battery life, and the overall design looks great. I also like that's it's a 16inch screen without a numpad so the keyboard isn't off center like on some other models. Got it open box excellent for $820 and it looked brand new, really happy with it.

I've had numerous very well made Asus laptops that lasted years. You may have just been unlucky?
