Then go back to the page in the second link in original post where all the different Gillette razors and refill cartridges products are listed, FIND the one product that has a Gillette RAZOR HANDLE and blades with it and find yet another coupon on that page, I found it when I clicked on the subscribe & save link for whatever Gillette razor it is and this step is what brought my total to zero after following the OP's instructions.
As others indicated and I think it depends what your tax rate is in the state you are purchasing, my tax was .47 cents, ytrwv.
Also, if I had a link to product that has the extra coupon I would link it but since I already completed the deal the page with the qualifying products is blank. Just look for the one Gillette men's RAZOR HANDLE with blades.

I realized I had to click link 2 first for link 1 to show the coupon on the non-subscription of the product. The coupon was 25% off instead of 30% off, but then when I checked out, I had to subscribe for the 25% off coupon to work, and then by subscribing, I think it made it 30% anyway (extra 5%) so it was free! I only paid tax, .49 cents! Just remember to unsub.
edited: click on the first link, check either 12 or 36, until the coupon appears without the s&s. It worked. came out to be $0.52 city and ca tax. Thanks OP!!

but a few remarks above about perseverance and i think i finally got it in the end.
I think the difference was switching to the 12 count which allowed that 25% coupon to take effect despite no selection of that item. Finally the subscribe at the end and voila
