I have been wearing Gel Ventures for maybe 12 years now. I think they were about $30 a pair in 2018. $60 a pair seem to be norm now.

My last pair did fine through a 10 mile Moab hike, so I think they'll be fine for light hiking too Smilie The soles are nice and grippy on rocks and dirt.

I used to wear these (Models 5-7) a few years ago and still have a few unused pairs in my closet that I stocked up on when they could be had for $30ish.

Reason being: they "solved" my plantar faciitis. I had tried a bunch of other shoes and inserts to no lasting avail until I tried these. Changed nothing else about my routine.

Have always recommended them to others with PF -- especially if you're looking for something more inexpensive.

Of course, root causes of PF are a few and it's affected by many things so YMMV.
