As mediocre as their coffee is, shoutouts to Panera for actually giving out free coffee versus Sbux/Dunkin requiring a purchase to get points or freebies.

You could make a new Panera account with a new phone number or change your phone number on the old account and use it on new account.

I don't think so (especially if your account is the same one or was never deleted) but you could give it a try to see if it works

How do we delete an old account? Surely there must be some 'tricks' one can utilize to get this working for a past subscriber?

I tried a second time and it worked. So just using a new email worked. Sorry to cloud post

Disregard:
Okay for those in the know:
- I have signed up for free promos using a different email address. I tried three of them - and all said "email used before." So I decided to use my iCloud email - which I hardly use - it allowed me to login with a new account - great. But when I applied the promo - it said not available for this account. Instead it applied a different promo automatically (USCNEW3MO - $5/month for 3 months). I only want this deal if for free. Even when I did the free account I hardly frequented PB. I just don't understand why they just don't offer this for free regardless - or allow for renewal after a period of time. I mean the goal is to get people in the store to purchase other high-priced items.

Can anyone tell me why this didn't work with a "new" account. I did keep my name and cell number the same. In the past I thought it was just a new email.

Only allows me to select Monthly or Annual, add a Card or Gift card. No place to use the code.

So just to confirm you only used a different email but used the same phone # and payment info on file?

Yes - I've done three four times now. I've run out of emails :-)

It seems you can create up to three additional "alias" emails with your iCloud account - haven't tried this yet. I think other email systems allow for aliases as well.

Same. But the number of drinks my wife and I have gotten in just this week makes the $4 monthly fee feel like I'm taking Panera for a ride. Free is better, but I'm not sweatin'.
