About the depth, you don't have to orient the lateral pole so that it's pointing at you or into the desk space. If you arrange the swivels so that it's parallel with the back edge of the desk, you don't lose any depth; or if you have space for pointing it away from the viewer, then you can actually gain some depth. I have similar mounts and have done that multiple times.
just remember, with this style, you will loose another few inches of depth because of that pole. I bought something similar and return it. With these curved monitors, the edge extend very forward. The depth matters.

I don't understand this. If the screen is ultrawide won't it hit the pole?

I guess if you go extreme with the angles, that's possible lol. The product pictures actually show what I'm trying to outline. Some examples there show the horizontal arm oriented so that it lines up with the backplane of the desk so that it doesn't hang over and poke into the desk space, meaning no loss of depth space.
If you really don't want RGB, looks like another one of their arms is double discounted too. Arm setup slightly different, may work better in some situations. Little more money though (should come out to $68.39)
in for a try. i have a corner desk where my 49" monitor is pushed all the way back it can go anyway(screen is back to the walls on each side), so i doubt i will loose much, if any space from the pole. but this does also offer mounting through the cable grommet, so that is what interests me most here as my desk cannot mount this to the back edge. mostly looking forward to freeing up the desk space under the screen from the stand and being able to adjust the height a little bit to better use my desk space.

Interestingly they don't mention the depth in any of the pics. In order to arrange the swivels so that it's parallel with the back edge of the desk you'd need to mount it off center so that the monitor is centered, right?

hes saying you can mount the lower part to face backwards, so the upper part brings it back in line with the pole. this would work if you have depth behind your desk to use, but not if you have a wall right there. if you have a wall, you would need to angle it sideways, then turn the neck at the vesa mount. this should result in minimal lost depth. it shouldnt need to be mounted off center if thats the case though.

You may need to do that depending on the space available, true. Otherwise, with ample space, you could still keep the pole centered, orient the horizontal arm parallel with the back edge, and then swivel the top arm diagonally so that the monitor comes back into the center line.

I put my base all the way to the side so the pole is not in the way. its holding the 57in with no issue.
