What makes this the better construction jack compared to the hundreds of knockoff which are 1/5 the price?

The trigger is in a place that you can activate with your feet as well as the release, which makes it much better for working solo than the other brands.

Higher quality is the number one thing for me. I'm sure the directions tell you not to do it, but there is probably a good chance at some point you are lifting something heavy with this and then placing a body part under what you are lifting. Speaking of load capacity, the dewalt is rated at 340lbs each. The cheap chinese ones are usually rated at 250-450lbs PER PAIR, but truthfully they start feeling sketchy after 75-100lbs. And the release/;lowering mechanism on the cheap ones is hairy, while the Dewalt (as well as Viking, Irwin and Stanley) are much more precise and controllable..

The nice thing about the dewalt vs the other quality ones is the dewalt has the pivot handle on top, so you can use your foot or your hand to raise the jack.

I already have one, would like a second, but I have a few other things I would like to get first and I'm hoping they drop in price for Prime Days. But it's tempting. Almost every time I use it, I think that two would be even better.
