I read here Perlesmith or Perlegear is a knockoff of the other one, but I forget which one is which though lol. This seems ridiculously cheap, thinking of just getting one for the future even though I don't need one right now.

This is a great deal, but buyer beware. I mount TVs for people and these are by far the worst mounts my customers supply. The biggest issue is the tilting mechanism. It will slowly tilt on you on its own if your tv is heavy/large enough.

I'm shocked. The $7 70" TV mount isn't very good.

How does it tilt by itself? The mechanism looks fixed from the images provided (no hinge or moving parts—all seem bolted into specific holes).
