This. It's more prevalent as I'm getting older. These get pretty heavy when full.

Honestly, it's worth spending a bit more to get a portable freezer with a battery. It's not as fancy, but it can keep things cool for up to 8 hours depending on the battery.

Love these coolers. In my opinion, love my Ninja better than YETI. $199 is a great price,

Lifetime cooler is going to be better, cheaper and you can get a larger capacity if needed as well.

Both score well in this test, Ninja has "better features"

This cooler is awesome. I prefer +5 quart capacity and $25 less vs. having wheels. But either way, these are very well made coolers and hold ice for multiple days.

For some reason I thought these were those refrig/freezer coolers that takes electricity. It's just a very good insulated ice cooler.

Owning one of the ones in your link, I can say having wheels is WELL worth it! I absolutely love the cooler except for 2 major flaws: no wheels and non-folding handles...both of which are fixed in the 2nd gen in the OP

This seems really expensive for a cooler. Who are these marketed for? I can see it's a very high quality cooler that would keep ice for days, and has a little drawer for snadwhiches and stuff. But for me the use case would just be for BBQs, and beach days, where I would only really need the ice for a day, and I could put things that would get crushed on top. Would this still be worth it? Or would a coleman be fine and I could save myself like $150

Dang, that's better than the deal I got for $167. Sam's was clearing these out a month ago.
