there are 9% 1 star reviews saying the filament is very wet. I looked up reviews for this specific glow-in-the-dark set and there are only two and not very good. One 3 star and one 2 star both seem to also say that the filament was not great.

Hi guys- I own this set and unfortunately it doesn't perform very well. It does string quite a bit and more importantly glowing requires a high intensity flash light to really shine.

Not sure if "wet" would be the best way to describe it, but perma-stringy is a better way to describe it. I like it because I can make glow in the dark planters for my customers, but it is a challenge to master.

Thanks! I picked up the transparent PETG. I'm currently going through some Tecbears transparent PETG and its working well. Supposedly Tecbears is made by Sunlu so this should be good.

PETG absorbs moisture quickly compared to PLA, so having a filament dryer for it does make sense. Also I guess many users mistake stringing of PETG, that can have other causes too (like overextrusion), for wet filament.

I live in a super humid environment and have all my materials sealed in air tight bags with moisture strips and desiccant after drying. This enables most of my PETG prints for clients to come out with minimal if any stringing. No matter how long I dry the Glow in the Dark, the material that is in the glow in the dark filament is so coarse that it prints similarly as if the filament is wet. It can still come out looking great, don't get me wrong, but it's a challenge.

It works great for things that will either get UV or Solar all day. I've made my clients and my wife planters using this material, and they get a really nice soft glow in the summer nights.

PETG absorbs moisture that is why it is stringing. you need to dry it first.

Also, glow in the dark is one of the most abrasive filaments there is. If you dont have a hardened steel nozzle you shouldnt be printing this stuff. half a roll on a brass nozzle you will go from a 0.4mm to a 1.0mm
