Never heard of this brand. Anyone have experience with it?

I decided to pull the trigger on one of these, although I wish I had waited for this one as it has a bigger battery, all else being the same. I haven't used it yet other than logging into windows and checking the specks. Seems more solid than I expected. I'll run benchmarks to make sure it really performs as the processor it's supposed to be.

It's basically a MiniPC with a screen. No ethernet ports though, so for hardwired you'll need a USB adapter.

My hesitation with this brand is the way it's being sold. It says prime but it shows it being sold and shipped directly from the vendor. Has a decent a spec the system has considering its Value price. I don't relish the idea of investing the time on a system that needs to be returned and possibly having difficulty doing so based off the company reputation being low.

Great specs on paper, but does NIMO's after-sales even exist beyond marketing claims?

I usually build my own desktops, so I'm used to no "after sales". I've commented on other posts for these laptops that I wouldn't recommend them for non-techies. I'd say the same for most Mini-PC deals out there. I rand Geekbench on the one I got, and it matches what this processor is typically getting. Cinebench not so much, probably because no dedicated graphics card. I haven't looked into it yet, just spent a few minutes on it last night. Has a Kingston NVME, and an extra slot above the WiFi, which I haven't populated yet. Will reinstall windows from scratch if I decide to keep it. So only worry now is if it breaks down. I guess fingers crossed that it doesn't.

Need to check how AutoCAD works on it, and wait for next week's prime deals and competition's deals to see if anything comes up from a name brand under $900 with a similar processor and dedicated graphics. Doubtful for 17.3", but maybe for 16".

I finally created an account just to comment on this brand. Avoid it! The specs seem too good to be true...because they are. Nimo does not know how to make a functional laptop. Various annoyances including keyboard backlight only staying on for about 2 seconds, screen brightness not working nearly all of the time, random freezes/glitches/etc. These people do not know how to make a functioning platform. Do not buy this brand.

I have had zero luck getting support for my glitchy laptop from them. Good thing it was cheap, but I will never buy this brand again.

None on mine, but you shouldn't buy this brand even besides that.

I bought one a month ago. Great specs, definitely does not perform as expected. When working, it's fine, but it randomly freezes nearly every time I tax the cpu or ram above about 30%. Useless.

I got the keyboard to stay lit by pushing function and the backlight button three times. It goes from low, medium then always on for me

Some laptops have it inside bios settings (e.g. Acer)
