Seems like a nice price for the features in combination with the form-factor. Other than the strange combination of nice-to-haves like USB-C with niche space-fillers like the combined mouse/keyboard PS2 port, what gotchas has anyone else found?

Good luck!

Good price, but I'm looking for one that supports DDR5 and Wi-Fi 6.

Maybe I'll wait for the newer AM5 platform, which was released 3 years ago.

I have this. No issues. Using it with a 5600X3D and a 9070XT. I use it as my "couch gaming PC".
If you use it with a 3.0 pcie riser you'll have to manually set BIOS to use 3.0 and not auto. Had to take apart my meshlicious (came with a 3.0 riser) build a few times before realizing this. Not sure about a 4.0 riser. I've since then changed itx case.

Single M2 slot is a bit of a bummer. ITX boards are pretty crowded but most find a way to get at least two m2 slots. The Wifi/BT is a little old since it's AC or Wifi 5 instead of 6 or 6e or 7.

This might make sense for someone who needs to replace a failed MB, but I wouldn't build a new machine on a dead-end platform that was superseded 3 years ago. Still plenty of B650 boards around and prices have been coming down.

Using this board for the longest time on my current ITX build. Works well enough. The most no-frills ITX board you can get for AM4, but I'd still say this is a bit pricey for a dead-end platform.

I have this board, ran it with a Ryzen 5 5600G for a while, then swapped for a Ryzen 7 5800XT earlier this year when they went dirt cheap. I upgraded the AC card to an AX card I had laying around. PCIE gen4 has been working fine for my nvme drive and RTX 3060 Ti. My main storage is on a NAS, so single drive for OS and game installs is fine for my use.

It's not fancy, but it works ok for what I use it for and it's been stable.

Reminder to anyone calling AM4 dead: AMD is re-releasing AM4 CPUs so old that they likely can't be supported by "newer" motherboards like this one.
https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-c...en-in-2025

AMD is keeping AM4 relevant as a value entry every day. The platform isn't new but is actively receiving new product from AMD.

Good luck!

Note that this issue of mobo -> riser -> GPU is still pertinent today: I had a B650 PCIE-5.0 Motherboard -> PCIE 4.0 Riser -> PCIE 5.0 card and it didn't boot until I went into BIOS to change the mobo's B650 PCIE mode to 4.0.

Am4 is still a good budget platform for most users. This is about as cheap an mitx board as you are going to get without going with one off like AliExpress.

How would this serve as a NAS mobo?
