Thanks for the heads up, will check it out and return it if it's a bust.. yeah my FS jacket was goretex and was near indestructible until my Son borrowed it and it got stolen... ugh..

It is Waterproof, however, it's like wearing a plastic bag so your sweat doesn't dry. So, once home you take off the jacket and feel wet thinking it's leaking but it's your own perspiration. This is why Gor-tex is better by allowing more breathing of the material.

Got this from REI a couple years ago for $50. Nice for a solid entry level rain jacket. The commenter above trashing it for Goretex is just a shill.
