Bought something similar in China before. Worked well enough. Eventually fell out of love with smash burgers, though, since they splattered so much while cooking.

If you want to use this for smashing burgers, it would be good to place a piece of parchment paper on top of the meat first. The raw meat sticks to the metal and can peel away from the pan when you've finished smashing.

I already have a wide spatula for smash burgers but will get this to try. This can be left on bacon, veggies, etc. which would be helpful as a weight that I can't do with a spatula
