Anyway, have three sets of these and they last a long time, are very comfortable and don't chafe. Waist bands tend to dry out and loose elasticity with most brands after a year or so of daily wear and high temp drying. Not on these and not on Under Armor.
Although I do prefer Under Armor, at $9 this is a really good value that is too good to pass up.

Solution: Wear your plastic undergarments when at the gym or working out if sweat becomes problematic.
Wear cotton every other time.
Plastic is just worse in all other regards: bad for the dyes & microPs it seeps into the water runoff from washes, bad for breathability, bad for the environment when we dispose of them en masse.
Natural fabrics like cotton are more sustainable, breathable, and are generally more pleasant against skin anyway.
you know this is a thread for underwear, yeah? High quality reusable natural fabrics (cotton being the most abundantly available) is generally the point in undergarments.
polyester plastic, pass
Yes plastic is harmful for penis

Very few polyester weaves exist that have good breathability, they exist, but are very hard to come by. Most of the industry is interested in the material because it's cheap and leaves more profit margin. So they market it as "cool, dry, wicking" the first two are a total lie. Polyester is hotter and the fibers can't absorb moisture. At best a good weave can move moisture away from your body and hold it while it evaporates. When it does this it holds form better than other materials because the fibers themselves are waterproof and won't lose shape.
For the above reasons, poly works best as a single layer. Grabbing sweat from your skin and then exposed to the air on the other side to evaporate it.
It works well as a winter fabric when it's heat qualities are valuable and moisture is less an issue due to low humidity of winter air.
As an undergarment it's just hotter and sweatier. Unless you're just a neanderthal and sweat 24/7. In which case it will hold shape.
As an experiment go buy Bamboo, cotton, and microfiber sheets. Sleep in each of them for a week in the summer. You'll learn quickly how breathability affects your comfort.
Maybe for those of you who live in really arid places polyesters negatives aren't as noticable. Especially as casual wear.
