...which will require a weird custom installation (ever seen a hot water line going to a toilet?), require you to run the bidet water for a bit to get the warm water from your water heater, and risk having scalding, unmixed hot water burning your undercarriage. Fancy warm water bidets are typically self-heating because it's easier to plug them into an electrical outlet than hook them to hot water lines, which would still require you to run the water to warm it up.

I bought this model from a deal here a couple months ago and finally got around to installing it last week. Install was easy enough, and the cold water doesn't seem like a problem. It's working great so far, no regrets. I did take the extra step of replacing the fill valve and water line from the shutoff while I was at it, since they were both old. This might have helped me avoid any little annoyances that can come with old components, which to me was worth the extra $25 for the new Korky valve and braided line, as now I'm confident I won't have to touch them again for quite a while. Might pick up a second Brondell for the main bathroom.

Not true. There are many non electric bidets that are both hot water and cold. A basic search will bring up several. The Brondell EcoSeat S102 is non electric and has both warm and cold.

Real comment. Unless your in freezing cold climates The cold water is very tolerable or even really unnoticeable. I jokingly described it to my wife like this.

When you get into a cold pool. You see folk generally covering their chest or over maybe even their lower front region. But you never see people reaching back to over the same region the bidet covers. It's just. It that sensitive to warm and cold like other parts of the

But with that said I would not recommend holding up to the host water line like some discussion up the thread a bit further.

I get your contrarian point but the real point is with an electric one you can hook up with just the standard toilet water line, and ALL non electric ones will need warm water lines ran to it from a sink/tub line or other unconventional and not necessarily feasible means

I bought 2 of these and ended up only keeping one after the install... Long story short, it's very disappointing.
Sure it's strong, but it's wildly inaccurate and sprays very widely and soaks everywhere.

Actually did not know that existed. Granted you need to have toilet by vanity which is not always the case but a good alternative.

I do question how well it would work. Like you would need to run your sink until hot water got there FIRST. Then you would have to hope the water did not get too hot by the time you were done.

I have it and like it. A common point of failure appears to be the dial/knob but there are 3D printed alternatives to replace with when it goes.

I have a non electric warm/cold. Works very well. my toilet isn't close to my vanity. I had to run a longer line with some creative solutions but being next to a vanity makes it easy. There are two dials...one for mix and one for pressure. Just leave the mix in the center or on cold and it will never scald you. If I want instant hot then yes... I turn on the faucet until it gets hot. My faucet gets hot in a few seconds so it's not a big deal. For some it might take longer.

yes but the comment made was "any non electric bidets will be cold water only" which isn't true. It will certainly be on a case by case method but if someone has a toilet near a vanity or they have a way to run a long line...its an easy affordable solution.
Electric warm/cold water bidets tend to be much more expensive and bulkier, have more components which can malfunction, requires an electrical outlet and it also has electricity costs. Also in some cases if there is a power outage, the electric bidet won't work... so there are downsides to both.
