Right? This thing is a monstrosity, in a good way but so is the price. Black Friday may be the ticket. 🎟 💰

Not the only question, really. Real question buyers should be asking themselves is will these things actually have the longevity & long-term support to justify the cost.
If something goes wrong, this is all proprietary stuff. You will be reliant on Ecoflow support and/or them honoring their warranty (and not simply refusing because you didn't follow some obscure recommended practice to the T).

I like Ecoflow products, and they've generally been dependable for me, but this is a lot of money to drop on something that can't just be readily repaired if needed.

You're not wrong about any of this. A few comments though:
  • This is a VERY well integrated platform. If you buy their batteries, transfer switch, and inverter, you have a pretty ideal setup.
  • As you say, longevity is absolutely a cause for concern - support seems to be there, but only 5 years for this kind of investment seems....yeah....
  • Normally, price per W, these things are roughly $0.75 which is at the higher end. This however is $0.39 which is very much toward the lower end

Can you set this up with solar and then have it connected to your main electrical panel ? If so, does it require approval from your electrical provider / company?

This deal already includes batteries and inverter.

Do I only need the transfer switch to finish the setup?
Could you please send me a link for the transfer switch?

Does anybody know how efficient either of these MPPTs are? I called EcoFlow and they say "90-95%" but I have no confidence that they understood my questions (given the language gap). HoboTech tested the new EcoFlow Delta 3 series as 80% efficient. The MPPTs in many stand-alone inverters are 99.9% efficient (Tigo, SMA, etc.).

My understanding is that you'd need to install a Smart Panel 2 to make it work as you intend to

The warranty period is just 5 years. I think Long term support is going to be thin at best. The DPU extra battery are not compatible with any of their other products they have launched since DPU.

Transfer Switch Compatible with Power Kits | EcoFlow US
You're going to need an electrician just to be clear. This isn't really DIY friendly.
Edit: Stupid site is trying to redirect links and breaking it at the same time. Go to ecoflow.com and search for transfer switch. Spoiler its $399 which is pretty reasonable.
