So, to get Platinum status, you first pay a $99 registration fee, then earn 12,500 Elite Status Points within 90 days.
How do you earn the points? You either spend $12,500 on the Frontier Credit Card or fly with Frontier and earn points from your base fare. I don't think this offer is for everyone.

You bringing up a good point. I checked the deal, at elite platinum you have 16 multiplier per $1 spent. So you need to spend about $786 to earn 12500 points and qualify for this. Which is still quite a lot for frontier, making this deal for very few folks

I got GoWild pass for both me and mywife ($600 total) to upgrade our seats each time to the status this deal offers (premium or even upfront) I need to spend additional $100-$150 each. I could of just get discount den ($69) and this deal ($99) and with free companion pass, only %30 of the what I paid, and will be paying on going per flight, I would get much better deal. That sucks really. How come deals gets worst to better, so what will be next, Elite Platinum status for $1???

But 16x only applies after you're a Platinum member. If you're working toward the 12,500 elite status points, here's how much you'd need to spend on their flights -

Without the Frontier credit card:
Member (10x) - $1,250
Silver (12x) - $1,041.67
Gold (14x) - $892.86

With the Frontier Airlines credit card, you earn 1 additional elite status point per $1 spent, even on Frontier purchases. So the effective earn rates become:
Member (11x) - $1,136.36
Silver (13x) - $961.54
Gold (15x) - $833.33

Disclaimer: I may be wrong. Proceed with caution LOL. Always double-check.

Do you have to fly with Frontier to get the 12,500 points or can you just get the Frontier credit card mastercard and spend 1,200 USD or whatever amount to get the 12,500 Frontier points/miles?

As per my understanding, if you're not flying on Frontier, you have to spend $12,500 not 1200$ on frontier card to meet the requirement. 1$ spent = 1 status point.

Can someone help explain the challenge? I was thinking about signing up for the challenge.

I am currently Gold Status after signing up for the credit card.

I am booking flights for Spring Break for my family (End of March). The flights are about 1500 total roundtrip. I am going to be paying with my credit card.

Will this be enough to get the 12,500 points needed for the challenge.

I feel like some people are saying yes with the multipliers by purchasing on my card but some people are saying no you have to complete the flights to earn the status points.

Anyone have some clarification?

it only counts on your own flight. not for your friends or kids
