Looks like a small PSU any thoughts on this?

PSU is fine for what you can actually fit in there, which at most is going to be a 4060 low profile, or I think there is a 5060 LP now as well that probably fits.

This is a great price, honestly just for even the 795i motherboard/cpu/ram/SSD. That 7945HX is a beast of processor.

If you wanted to dress it up in another case that didn't limit you on GPU size as much, you could. Would probably necessitate a new PSU in that scenario.

I really want the BD795i, and this is a great price. My main problem though is no SATA connections. It even shows a picture on the BD795i of it going in a NAS, but no clue how they are connecting those things unless you want to waste your PCIe on SATA.

Does this use standard PSU connections?

these support 128gb DDR5. Power and cooling are limiting if you want to run a capable GPU. Makes a great home lab proxmox box.

My thought is a M.2 2280 breakout board, or the USB-C-SATA hub in to support the drives. I do wish this board offered SATA ports, like the BD795m though

The board? yes

Whoever telling you it supports 128gb did not investigate thoroughly. I have tested several units with 3 sets of 96gb rams. All of them have issues with iGPU freezing occasionally. 64gb and smaller is fine.

I have the Intel version with a 5060. Some notes. These were designed with the 4060 in mind and the 5060 draws more power so you may want to undervolt a bit to keep the wattage more in line with a 4060. If the goal is 1080p gaming, it will still be more than sufficient. If the goal is 4k then a 5060 is probably not powerful enough anyway. I don't remember exactly what clock and voltage I settled on in MSI afterburner, but the 5060 is only pulling 89w and at 1080p Ultra, no DLSS no RT I get over 90 in Cyberpunk. I keep it frame locked to 60 because it's on a 1080p TV.

Another note, with a 5060 this thing gets pretty toasty. Others have described it as a blast furnace. What I did to get around this is to screw two 80mm Noctua fans into the top panel. The honeycomb vent holes line up perfectly with 80mm fans you just have to make the holes a bit bigger. This puts an 80mm directly over the 5060 and it made a 20-30 degree difference running Cyberpunk which pegs out the GPU.

Oh and I don't know if the AMD variant has this as well but on the Intel one there's a third undocumented NVME slot on the bottom of the board. You have to remove the motherboard from the case to access it. So it has two Gen 4 slots. One on top and one on bottom. And a Gen 3 slot on top.

Sure, but if you are buying this to game, then you are adding a dedicated GPU which will crush anything a 780m can do.
