Yes, there was a large recall of the Bissell Steam Shot handheld steam cleaner announced in July 2024, affecting over 3 million units sold between August 2008 and May 2024 due to a potential burn hazard from expelling hot water or steam. The recall includes model series 39N7 and 2994, identified by "STEAM SHOT" or "POWER STEAMER" on the side. Consumers are instructed to stop using the product and visit www.bissell.com/steamshotrecall to register for a $60 credit or a $40 refund.
