I click on the Sam's Club deal and the screen reduces brightness and there is just a yellow X in the midle.

Same for me. Maybe you have to be a Synchrony customer and log in? Not sure.

No. I am not a synchrony customer. I used safari and the above link landed on a page with popup of the sams club offer which I was able to click and it took me to the samsclub page for membership.
