FYI, a lot of these cheaper models don't have an auto oiler on them which is important if you're going to cut more than once branch unless you want to oil your chain every single cut

Explain? Don't you just press the primer after you fill up with oil?

according to the images, this doesn't even have a manual oiler. Their solution is just a bottle you fill up and use completely independently

Went in for one, thanks. If it works a few times it pays for itself.

Anything these mini chainsaws can do a recip saw can do... Yeah it'll be slightly slower but you'll have none of the chain and oil headaches.

Former Sawzall tree pruner here. Oiling bottle notwithstanding, these things are a game changer. Bought another featured one earlier this week, and had a large tree branch section fall on back porch gently. With two to three battery changes, I was able to get the thing small/light enough to get off the roof, shoved off safely, and cut all of the branches into wrapped bundles (though it sucks on tiny twigs). Being able to prune 4-5 inch thick sections one handed is a game changer. With a recrip, you'll need two hands. The one I bought coupon coded down to 21 or so and came with two batteries.

Would anyone here getting this deal or got this one in the past post two photos:

1. Picture of the base of the tool that goes on the battery and/or top plate of the battery - trying to figure out if it's Makita compatible
2. Picture of the saw with the cover off - trying to figure out how it holds the bar in place and if the tensioner is in the cover or in the tool mold

I don't believe this is brushless - do you have this yourself?

3. What kind of pruning blades are your favorite and
4. why is it valuable to work with one hand? Are you holding something else with your other hand?
5. If you were free to use both hands, would you prefer the Sawzall or this mini chainsaw?

The other one posted here (Tietoc) is a better deal. I used it to cut down an overgrown pine bush that had a few 3 in. and several 1-2 in. brances. The saw went through them all like a knife through butter, though I had to keep pressing the oil button between cuts, and had to recharge the battery a couple of times. With the very thick branches, the chain also slipped off a couple of times but it is not difficult to put it back on. A very handy tool compared to the bulky one I had for years. For $20, it was a great buy!
