Are we able to cancel this early (now?) and still use the Pro service for the next 12 months?

From an AI perspective (not special offer included in the add-ons like Headspace, Quora, etc), what does the Pro version provide over the non-pro version?

You need to use a different email address. I had the xfinity deal from last August and before that expired I used the same promo code in my Xfinity account to sign up for another year with different email. Also got the samsung under another one.
yeah, I realized that afterwards, but then my PayPal code was invalidated as already used.

Signed up for another PP account, I think it gives you a new code in 30 days.

If you previously had the 1 year paypal pro and your Venmo e-mail is the same as your paypal you cannot redeem this.

1. use a new perplexity e-mail
2. go to venmo --> settings --> put a random period in your email
3. now use the offer

It essentially uses your paypal and venmo e-mail to see if you have redeemed an offer before

Fair point. I should have been more precise in my critique of their business model.

You're right that their search and indexing tech is proprietary. My "middleman" comment was referring only to the final generation model (GPT-4, Claude, etc.), which is sourced from other providers (plus their own internal Sonar model).

My preference is to use the synthesis models directly, but I concede that calling the entire service a "middleman" wasn't entirely accurate.

Repped for clearing this up.

am I the only one who likes copilot? I'm pretty sure it's just like a front end for chat GPT but it's free and in some ways I like it better
You may be the only one.

Probably not the best forum to post this on but has anyone used any of these "AI" tools for financial planning (tax minimization, medical insurance costs, Roth conversions, etc.)? If so, which of these tools is most appropriate and do they work better or worse than bespoke planning software?
I've played with Grok and Chat GPT in this area. I have been pretty happy with responses. Just make sure you verify the outputs. In your prompts ask the platform to not speculate and only answer with output that it knows is correct. Also ask it to think longer to help with accuracy. This helps a lot.

I would never take any serious advice from AI...if it's wrong, you have zero recourse and little defense.

Same with online forums/chat rooms/tiktok etc.

It's a place to start, though.

I doubt the IRS would waive a penalty just because AI told you the wrong thing.

Many, many companies disagree with you. Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Salesforce, etc. have all stated that they are using AI to write 30% or more of their code and all have laid off thousands of workers as they have been replaced by AI.

You mention Quora. I haven't been on that site in ages. I wonder how the AI chatbots are affecting that service?.
