No you don't. Perplexity has its own app or you can go to their website to use the AI. Comet is basically just a hybrid of the app and a browser.
Thanks!

Probably not the best forum to post this on but has anyone used any of these "AI" tools for financial planning (tax minimization, medical insurance costs, Roth conversions, etc.)? If so, which of these tools is most appropriate and do they work better or worse than bespoke planning software?
I would never take any serious advice from AI...if it's wrong, you have zero recourse and little defense.

Same with online forums/chat rooms/tiktok etc.

It's a place to start, though.

I doubt the IRS would waive a penalty just because AI told you the wrong thing.
I would like to try to use it to give me some starter optimization plans... would definitely run a sanity check on it before actually trying to implement. The caveats/tips that you and bchill mentioned are helpful; thanks!

Is it me, or do the people arguing in this comment section sound like they are using ai to formulate their responses?

If you previously had the 1 year paypal pro and your Venmo e-mail is the same as your paypal you cannot redeem this.

1. use a new perplexity e-mail
2. go to venmo --> settings --> put a random period in your email
3. now use the offer

It essentially uses your paypal and venmo e-mail to see if you have redeemed an offer before
After redeeming, can i then set venmo email back?

am I the only one who likes copilot? I'm pretty sure it's just like a front end for chat GPT but it's free and in some ways I like it better
If it's free then you are the product, my friend!

Can't get this to work. I had an account through school and attempted to create a new one under a completely new address. After all was said and done it created a subscription (see attached) yet Perplexity in the browser or the app is NOT Pro.

Still good. I received my invite on Dec 1 for some reason. If you have google workspace ($4 a month), Gemini pro 3 is included, so for $4 a month you can get the latest and greatest AI plus this one free for a year. That's a lot of firepower to play with.

This makes sense since Venmo is owned by PayPal!

They are being sued by several media outlets for copyright infringement. And the evidence is pretty strong against them. I'd assume this is PR to help sweep that news under the rug.
