This is a great deal. Costco puts these on sale a few times per year but not this low for this size. I have 2. Both stay water tight. I also bought the pull down shade and it works well. However, if you do buy the shade make sure your foundation is level or you will have difficulty closing them. If you need something more heavy duty, I'd go with struxture. I'd stay away from Hanso, I called them and they couldn't even tell me what gauge they use. All I knew at the time was mirador was heavier.

How heavy is this. I was thinking of installing it on my deck, with bracing below with some wood but generally trex won't like if it's too heavy as trex flexes more than wood. Decent price but also seems to have some inconsistencies with louvers. Steel might rust but aluminum might sag...

Silly question but can I use this to cover my car on the driveway? Dimensions seem to be ok?

Great deal, we have the 10 x 10 version in white and we paid more for ours than this one. Very sturdy and we can just open the slots for winter (snow) and don't have to change a cover twice a year like with our previous fabric canopies.

Struxure is exponentially more expensive. we had them come out to quote a 28x14 pergola, and it was $90k 🤣🤣

Cheapass, here's the thing — at a certain age you stop worrying about deals and start worrying about fiber intake, knee strength, and remembering why you walked into a room. Maybe it's time you trade hype comments for a good multivitamin.
Sir, this is slickDEALS if you're not trying to save a buck what are you doing posting on a deal forum?

Oh shit. You are coming with receipts. I apologize for thinking you were a bot!But wait. What if we are both bots and we are just programmed to hype this deal.
LOL

I'm not a bot, but have been a lurker for the past decade for sure. Used to be very active in 07-10 here (at least active for me).

This was an item I have more knowledge about then most as I was diving into it over the past few months. I do wish I had more people to tell about this though (also, there is another thread that stacks this deal with a coupon BESTPATIO which makes the price of the 10x13 eye-meltingly good. I don't need a second pergola but the price makes me think about it ahhaha)

Cheers to you, another non-bot ;-)

Okay, we pulled the trigger and ordered this! We would also love a pull down shade for the side since we get a lot of morning sun, but $800 is just too much after such a big purchase. Is there by chance any good after market versions out there that won't break the bank?

What do you think of it so far?

I've been wanting one for a while and this is tempting. I've been looking into bonpergola and pergolux, but looked at this one early on. just trying to figure out if I should jump on this one.
I really like it but we've only had it installed for a few weeks (I bought it before we had our new concrete poured because the pad is sized for the specific pergola - my nightmare would be pouring the pad and then they change sizing or something and now it's not perfect). My parents have one though and love it, which is one of the reasons I got mine from the same mfg

I don't think we need powered louvers - they stay in one position the vast majority of the time (slightly open - keep the breeze moving but block the sun)
